Pennywise 2017 – Free Crochet Pattern

Have you seen the new IT? It is entertaining. I enjoyed it quite a bit, but I am quite partial to the book. Except the ending, I hate the end of it.

All of last year’s Minis have been posted, this year I thought I would make a new set. This little mini incorporates some needle felting as well. It made the hair so much easier.

Go to Instagram to vote on the next one. Right now, I am working on Annabelle. I might run out of Horror Icons. I’ve added a new way to join my mailing list. It should be on the side menu. Use #drunkenauntwendy if you post a picture.

Crochet Pattern for the newest Pennywise

Materials

I love this yarn – White
I love this yarn – Red
Black embroidery floss
Orange Wool Roving
Size E crochet hook
Needle Felting Tool
Large eye blunt needle
Polyfiberfill

Abbreviations

SC – Single Crochet
DC – Double Crochet
Ch- Chain
INC – SC 2 stitches into same stitch
DEC – SC two stitches together
BLO – Back loops only
FLO – Front Loops only

Gauge – Gauge is not important for this project, but if you are making it from the kit, you should use the right size needle to ensure you don’t run out of yarn.

Notes:
Parentheses indicate a repeat. Repeat the stitches in the parentheses for the number of times indicated.
The bracketed number [] is the number of stitches at the end of each row.

I spread my increases out so there isn’t a seam on the finished piece. If you do not like this method, you can do regular increases.

Crochet section is worked in partly in the round. Use a stitch marker or a scrap piece of yarn to mark the beginning of each row. Then you don’t have to count every row. Do not join unless instructed to.
