Free Pattern Tuesday – Polar Bear Hat

Standard

20120131-201907.jpg

This wasn’t originally what I planned on posting this week, but it is really cute. It’s worked back and forth on straight needles in garter stitch so it’s a good beginner project. The yarn does all the work. Make sure to check your gauge before starting so the hat fits correctly.

Free Pattern Tuesday – Blue Angry Bird

Standard

20120124-200926.jpg

I’m slightly addicted to Angry Birds. That’s putting it mildly. I like to sit in court and play while I wait my turn, which can take hours. Being a lawyer in boring.

You have a red bird and a pig, now toss a blue one into mix.

Have fun!

Pics of projects

Standard

The lovely April tackled the Foofa pattern. She said it only took her a month and 5lbs of pillow stuffing. Here’s her version.

20120111-221623.jpg

I like that she gave us some perspective on how big Foofa really is. She mentioned there might be an error in the pattern on the feet. I’m looking into it and I will post the errata.

Thanks April.

If anyone else has completed photos, let me know. I’d love to post them. You can reach me directly at wendythornburg@yahoo.com.

Also if you haven’t stopped by the Facebook page, I’m playing a new game called WTH is Wendy making. Basically, I’ll post pieces of an unfinished project and the first person, if any who guesses what the finished product is going to be, gets the original. After I have it photographed of course.

Here’s the head of the current project. I’m making this a Facebook only game so I can keep track of the winner.

First guess is Carol Channing which is hilarious but sadly incorrect.

Devil baby hat – free pattern Tuesday

Standard

20120109-232600.jpg

I’m both a knitter and a crocheter and I like to combine both elements in patterns. This hat is a reflection of that. It’s only sized for itty, bitty babies right now and is probably only suitable for newborns or as a photography prop.

I’ll try to add a .pdf later this week. iPads are good for somethings but not others. Enjoy and hey I got it up on time. That Dexter marathon this weekend was good for something.

So I wanted to post the free pattern for the angry birds pig that is my profile photo. Unfortunately, I cannot find the photos on my iPad, so I cannot post the blog. I randomly got sent vibrator picks at work today. Basically, I told the client to send me proof of insurance and got vibrator pics instead. Needless to say it has been a very rough day at work, though according to my client the thruster vibe will make it all better. I’m drunk, can’t find the image that I want. So the free pattern will have to wait for when I’m not inundated with dildos. BTW, my day job has me as a lawyer, so I’m as baffled as anyone else.

Weeble, is very unhappy. He will bite the MFer.
