Exploring creativity in other ways

I love to knit and crochet. I love the feel of the fibers moving through my hands. It is fun for me to see the completed objects form as I try different techniques to get the creature/scarf/hat to turn out like my sketch. It is a long process and a lot of trial and error.

Painting is a bit different for me, especially abstract paintings. Sometimes I need a fast project that gives me quicker results. The shapes and colors are a great way to experiment. These often are applied to my fiber projects as I see what colors I like and try to replicate them with crochet or knit projects.

Friday afternoons are usually spent with my mom playing with canvases. I try to go into these days with no pre-conceived notions.
