HAIR

In Fuzzy Yellow

Take a piece of yarn and measure the crown of your dolls head. Set this aside, you will use this to make sure you make enough hair.

Using the hair color, wrap the yarn around an item the same width as you want the length of your hair to be. (I used my iphone). These wraps should be as long on the phone as your set aside piece of hair. The more wraps you do, the thicker the hair.

Then using the same yarn, SC along the spine of your item catching 3-4 pieces of yarn at a time. (This secures the hair). Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Cut the hair at the other end.

Lay chain on head with hair covering face and tack down. Flip hair to the back of the head and start tacking down sections. Leave some free. Using the Sharpie, Make the roots black.

Michael Myers – Free Crochet Pattern

Michael Myers Crochet Pattern

I’ve been working on my website. I hope it is easy for you to navigate now. The Available Free Patterns page has been completely revamped. Simply scroll down and click on whichever one you want to make.

I also updated the Exclusive Patterns page. If you get my mailing list you will get a code periodically for the exclusive pattern. Every once in a while I’ll provide all the previous codes. You should join my mailing list so you don’t miss any codes.

A donation button has been added. If you like my patterns and would like to give me a couple of bucks to use on yarn, I’d appreciate it.

Now onto new stuff. I’ve been working on my jewelry. The dragonscale bracelet took most of the summer. I did find new John Lennon Stamps which meant new resin necklaces. So excited!!. Finally, I dusted off my metal stamping block and stamps to make these fun Ohio necklaces. (Not shown are the 6 Ohios that I couldn’t get to work). Trial and error were big on these.

Now for the Free Pattern. Halloween is one of my favorite scary movies. Michael Myers is the best. Here is a free crochet pattern for a mini Michael Myers. If you make him, use #drunkenauntwendy so I can find it.

Let me know what you think.

Beetlejuice – Free Pattern

Drunken Aunt Wendy Crocheted Beetlejuice pattern

He’s the ghost with the most. Did everyone else love this movie as much as I did? And the cartoon? Sometimes I sing Day-O out of nowhere. People might think I’m a bit nuts.

You can’t really tell from this picture, but I gave him glow in the dark teeth. At night he is spooky, but awesome.

If it is your first time visiting my site, join my mailing list for exclusive content, like Chucky. Also, make sure to look around and check out the other patterns. Many haven’t been tested, so let me know if there are problems. There are several other mini-monsters: Freddy, Samara, Jason, Twisty, and Billy.

Now, “Let’s turn on the juice and see what shakes loose.”

Use #drunkenauntwendy if you make him. I would love to see your work.

The Babadook – Free Pattern

Crochet Babadook Pattern

 the babadook picture

Next in my series of mini movie monsters we have The Babadook from the movie of the same name. Your finished little monster will be about 5″ from top of his hat to the end of his outfit.

I find him super cute and not creepy at all. Again not tested, so let me know if you have problems. Coming soon we should have Jason, Michael Myers, Pennywise and Twisty. At least that is my 1st 6. I’ve sketched 6 more. I’m working on Ghostface now. I had to rework him as he looked too much like Jack Skellington.
